Chairman’s event will be held in two cities in Slovenia: Ljubljana and Portorož.

• We begin in Ljubljana with our Welcome Reception on Wednesday, November 6.
• On Friday afternoon, November 8, we will transfer to Portoroz.
• The final event is the Closing Dinner on Saturday, November 9, making departure day on Sunday, November 10.

If you require an overnight flight from your home country to Slovenia, please plan to leave your home country on or before Tuesday, November 5 so you can join us for the Welcome Reception on Wednesday, November 6.  

We have two host hotels in Slovenia. We will spend 2 nights at the InterContinental Ljubljana – November 6 and 7 – and 2 nights at the Kempinski Palace Hotel Portorož – November 8 and 9.

Members can qualify and are invited to Chairman’s in three categories including:

• Top production in the Virtuoso Member Region with network Preferred Partners
• Engagement in Virtuoso Products and Programs including participation in Events and Communities and services Boards and Committees and more
• Average per advisor production with Virtuoso Preferred Partners

Registration will open on Wednesday, June 5  and close on Wednesday, July 17.

Chairman's Event is a hosted event. There is no registration fee and Virtuoso is covering the cost of your assigned hotel stay from November 6 to 10. Virtuoso is also providing complimentary airport transfers on November 6 and on November 10. 

You can cancel your registration, if need be, however, Virtuoso will not provide any refunds for any cancelled pre or post room night accommodation costs after Wednesday, August 21. Cancellation penalties cannot be used as a credit toward a future event. Virtuoso encourages you to purchase travel insurance through one of our Preferred Partners to protect your travel investment. 

Transfers are allowed up until Wednesday, October 2, however, you need to have your replacement reviewed and approved by your Virtuoso Account Director. Please email your Virtuoso Account Director with your request to transfer your registration and provide your full name, agency name, and replacement attendee's full name.  

If you have booked accommodations through your My Events registration, breakfast is included as part of your assigned hotel accommodation. 

If you have made your own arrangements directly with a hotel, kindly note that your room rate is at your own expense, and you will need to check with your hotel to see if breakfast is included in your rate.   

Of course. During the registration process you'll see the Ground Transfers section to add your flight information and we've got you covered from there. Kindly note that Virtuoso will only be offering complimentary airport transfers between the airport and the host hotels during the dates of November 6 and November 10, and up to (3) days pre or post. 

Please note that we encourage you to fly in and out of Ljubljana (LJU) to minimize the carbon footprint and emphasize Slovenia's commitment to sustainability, however, we can accommodate those flying in and out of Zagreb (ZAG), or Venice (VCE).  

If you are staying at another hotel, pre or post, (at your own expense), you will need to arrange your own transportation. 

We are more than happy to assist you in extending your reservation outside of the complimentary hotel dates Virtuoso is providing. Any room nights booked outside of November 6, November 7, November 8, and November 9 will be at the expense of the attendee.

Breakfast is also included in the room rate. Please book your pre or post event nights through your My Events registration in the accommodation section, as part of your Chairman's Event hotel accommodations. You can add any charges for the pre or post nights to your registration and we will book them as part of your reservation. However, you will pay the hotel directly for those pre or post room nights.  .  

Design Your Day activities are subject to availability at the time you sign up, so please sign up as soon as possible. The last day to select an activity is Wednesday, September 11. To sign up, please log into your My Events registration and go to the Agenda tile under your 2024 Chairman's Event registration. From there, you can view the activity options and select one. Kindly note that we only allow one activity, per person, per day.  

All of our Design Your Day activities require a minimum number of participants. Should we not have enough participants for a specific activity, Virtuoso will notify you via email with alternative options to select from.

Yes! Guests are welcome to attend and enjoy all official functions and design your day activities according to the online agenda. If you invite a guest to attend and want them to participate, they must be registered for the event. Please complete the Guest Registration Form with your guest's full details. 

You will enter your guests' Design Your Day Activities when completing the  Guest Registration Form. 

Slovenia is a beautiful and welcoming country. Streets are cobblestone and most historical venues have stairs. Comfortable shoes are highly recommended for your comfort as it is a walking destination. 

Ljubljana and Portorož are walking cities with cobble stones streets and uneven paths. 

Majority of the venues are within walking distance of each hostel. While we will have transfers available, we highly encourage attendees to embrace the city culture and walk if they are up to it. 

The dress code for all events, including evening functions, is business casual with flat, comfortable footwear. 

Women: Nice slacks, dark denim, casual skirts, casual dresses, blouses 

Men: Nice slacks, dark denim, button down shirts, polo shirts (blazers and ties are optional) 

The most important thing to pack…flat, comfortable shoes!  

The average temperature in Slovenia in November is 50°F / 10°C during the day and 39°F / 4°C at night. 

While this is a fully hosted event, any pre- or post-room night accommodation cancelled after August 21, 2024, are non-refundable.   

After August 21, 2024, cancellation penalties apply if you cancel your registration or fail to attend the event. Cancellation penalties cannot be used as a credit toward a future event.
